Naseby Partners is the advisory practice of Paul Sinclair — speechwriter and senior counsel to Prime Ministers, Cabinet Ministers and chief executives. Strategy, message and the right words, when the stakes are at their highest.
About
Paul Sinclair has spent his career where the decisions are made — first as a journalist and political editor, then inside government, and now as an independent adviser to leaders in politics and business.
He served as Special Adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street, and to Secretaries of State across International Development, Transport and Europe. He was senior adviser to Alistair Darling, chairman of the Better Together campaign in the 2014 Scottish independence referendum, and Chief of Staff to the leader of the Scottish Labour Party — writing speeches and preparing principals for debates, interviews and the despatch box.
In business, he has advised at board level: as Head of Brand Narrative at Jaguar Land Rover, and as senior political counsel to one of the UK's largest telecommunications groups through a major merger. He was Managing Director of Public Affairs at Hill & Knowlton, advising blue-chip clients on government relations. He continues to write speeches and ghostwrite for political leaders and chief executives.
A graduate of Magdalen College, Oxford, he began in television and newspapers, rising to political editor and assistant editor of Scotland's Daily Record. It is a career that spans the newsroom, Number 10 and the boardroom — and a network that reaches across every major UK party and the senior ranks of British media and business.
